In 1837, Eben and Rosaline Peck found themselves between the stunning lakes of Madison’s isthmus. They stood on the land that would one day become the southwest side of Butler street. Along with two Frenchmen, they built their home. The Peck Cabin would eventually give way to a bustling metropolis, and an enduring family legacy. Today, Erika Martinson is so proud of the brave and industrious ancestors she comes from. Born and raised in Cottage Grove, she always knew she was meant for bigger things. She felt called to create her company, Total Designs Madison WI, as a way to explore her business acumen and creativity, as well as uplift her family name and heritage.
